Why the Name "Red Bike?"
I remember the breeze feathering around my face and through my hair. Magically, I was balanced atop two spinning tires. Gliding forward on the hand-me-down, but new-to-me red bike, my heart went soaring. I remember the red paint was a bit rusted and the tires a little frayed. I didn’t know where I was headed, but that didn’t matter, because all cares and worries suddenly vanished. All I could do was look onward. In that moment, I experienced my first sense of freedom and possibility. It was the first of many therapy sessions that old red bike would teach me. – Lisa
